“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to share the message and love of Jesus, especially as it is revealed in Scripture. We seek to plant seeds of faith and create and environment where those seeds will germinate and prosper. We are called by Jesus Christ to present the gospel to children, believing that only in the community of faith can they come to know Him authentically. Everything we do is dedicated to this purpose.
Sunday School is an important part of Hickory Street! Children ages two through elementary school are welcome to join us each Sunday! Weekly lesson are presented in both small and large group settings that nurture and encourage the children’s faith development and understanding of the Bible. Classes begin in September and end in early June, but new registrants are welcome at any time!
Sunday School is held each Sunday in the Maurer Center from 9:15 until 10:30 AM. A typical Sunday includes a whole group welcome before children report to their respective classes for the Bible lesson. The Pre-School class reports to its respective room for a lesson, craft and activities specific to their unique needs. Children in Kindergarten through fifth grade report to their classrooms for a Bible lesson in small groups, followed by Arts and Crafts and finally Music as a larger group. All lessons and activities are biblically-based on the week’s shared theme.
No matter the age, Sunday School at Hickory Street is fun and enjoyed by the children and teachers alike!
"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Luke 18:16
