| All of our church choirs are preparing for the new season and will be resuming their rehearsal schedules in the coming weeks. All of our choirs are open to anyone who would like to participate. All rehearsals are informal and a great opportunity to enjoy time together and to share the gift of music with our entire congregation. Sanctuary Choir is a mixed voice ensemble open to all youth and adults. This choir provides an anthem for and leads musically in the Worship Service each Sunday September through Father's Day. The group rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30 P.M. in the Church Parlor. Rehearsals are fun and informal and some members enjoy coming a little early to enjoy some social time together. There are no auditions and our only requirement is that you enjoy "Making a joyful noise to the Lord". Children's Choir is a vocal choir designed for children 4 and up with unchanged voices. This group meets each Sunday at 8:45 AM in the Sanctuary. Rehearsals dismiss at 9:15 so that the children can move directly into the Church School. This group shares anthems in Worship periodically throughout the school year. Typically the choir rehearses from September through Mother's Day. Our HandBell Choir is presently a mixed group comprised of youth and adults. This group performs in Worship periodically throughout the year. The group performs using a three octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and a two octave set of Malmark Handchimes. Rehearsals are held on Sundays immediately following Worship. Rehearsals are scheduled according to the needs and schedules of the members. While there are no special requirements or no musical experience needed to participate, it is helpful for new members to speak with Gene Hopkins before coming to rehearsal, so that arrangements can be made regarding space and bell assignments. Gene can be reached by phone or by e-mail, or in person before or after worship. We have a choir for you. This is the year for you to join the Music Ministry in our church.
